Ready for Irene? Bruins In the East Coast: Stay Safe

This satellite image taken at 12:45 GMT, Friday Aug. 26, 2011, shows Hurricane Irene as it moves northward along the U.S. eastern coastline. (NOAA)

Going to keep this very short and sweet. To all those Bruin alums who are out in the Eastern Seaboard - from Carolinas to New England - be safe.

I doubt anyone is coming here to look for Irene related information, but if you are you can track the hurricane and find evacuation information here. Here are also some tips to get prepared. You can also get Twitter updates @FEMA.

Let's hope this Irene lady turns out to be much ado about nothing. It would have been cool if this was some overhyped hurricane during second week of college football season, resulting in rescheduling of games ruining some other team's dreams of national championship.

On that lighter note .... stay safe Bruins.

GO BRUINS.
