A true Bruin: Randy Cross
His mother, "Rita, was the manager at Dkystra and Sproul Residence Halls on the UCLA campus".
Cross said: "Being a Bruin to me is all about your chance to be a part of something very special that few ever get to experience. It wasn't about promises, it wasn't about gifts and it wasn't about arrogance or honors. For me, being a Bruin was the perfect place, at the perfect time and being around the perfect kind of people. Rita Cross
I think of Randy’s mom as a true bruin, too. I worked for Rita Cross at the Sproul front desk from ‘79 to ’81. I remember her as a great boss and a wonderful person. She didn’t make a big deal being Randy’s mom, although she was obviously very proud of him. I worked for her for several months before I even knew!
