Firing the coach: can someone explain this to me?

I feel like Tom Hanks in Big....but I don't get it?

How does firing CRN help our team? Is this the only option, or the best option?

It seems to me that CRN is making ultra-conservative play and roster calls because of his hot seat, which may make things worse. I would rather have him going big and taking risks (well not all the time, but every so often).

Plus, don't we want to build a program. And then build upon that program. It seems like firing the coach, means starting from scratch.

Could someone please lay it out for me?
