Week 2 was MUCH better than Week 1. I think it had a lot to do with the fact that we weren't picking against 25-30 point spreads. Here are the new and improved standings after Week 2:
AHMB - 20-11-1
Ryan R. - 18-13-1
freesia39 - 17-14-1
Patroclus - 16-15-1
Tydides - 15-16-1
Bellerophon - 14-17-1
Odysseus - 14-17-1
Nestor - 13-18-1
Ajax - 13-18-1
gbruin - 12-19-1
Tasser10 - 7-8-1
Hopefully we can keep the positive mojo going this week. Well, everyone that picked UCLA, that is.
Before we look at our picks, lets take a quick rundown of the games we chose to pick this week. We always pick every Pac 12 game, even when schools schedule such weak opponents that Vegas won't even touch the line (We're looking at you Oregon and Cal), a few Top 25 games, and a few games from the Twelve Pac. Enjoy!
LSU @ Mississippi St. - Mississippi St. hosts the Tigers after narrowly losing to a different Tiger in excruciating fashion. Will this be another Thursday night upset? Stewart Mandel thinks ESPN is cursed for moving god awful announcer Craig James to Thursday night, and Friday is the new Thursday. I think he's right.
Auburn @ Clemson - What do you get if you cross three tigers with a bulldog? Our first two games. Auburn looks to keep it's second season of nailbiters going against Clemson.
Colorado St. @ Colorado - I don't know if this game has a catchy title, but I know that the two schools are not fond of one another.
Tennessee @ Florida - Remember when this used to be THE game in the SEC? It's not anymore, but it's still pretty damn good.
Washington @ Nebraska - The heavily favored Cornhuskers face the Huskies for the 3rd time in the last two years. We'll see who is asking for a best of five when this one is done.
Missouri St. @ Oregon - Hahahahahahaha. No wait, hahahahahhaha.
Presbyterian @ California - Hahahahahahahhaha. No wait, hahahahahhaha. Honestly, Oregon and Cal should be ashamed of themselves.
Washington St. @ San Diego St. - The powerhouse from Pullman invades sunny San Diego to lay a hurtin' on MWC opponent. Except Wazzu is the underdog. Apparently, Vegas hasn't forgotten that they're Wazzu.
Arizona St. @ Illinois - The Sun Devils go on the road for the first time against a surprising Illinois squad. Careful folks, Ron Zook has the Illini playing well.
Syracuse @ USC - Do you know who really really really wants 'Cuse to win this game? Me. Do you know who might want 'Cuse to win this game more than I do? Al Davis.
Oklahoma @ FSU - THE game of the day. I am really glad this one is starting after the UCLA game.
Ohio St. @ Miami - Cheat bowl. Winner gets a couple scholarships back? Sound fair?
Utah @ BYU - Unlike CSU v. CU, this game has a really cool nickname; The Holy War. Insert religiously insensitive joke here.
Stanford @ Arizona - Arizona always plays good teams ugly. Why do I have a feeling that this game might end up 16-9 or something along those lines?
Texas @ UCLA - THE game of the day. Wait, did I already use that line?
