Bruins defense holds players only meeting
The UCLA defense got together on tuesday for a players only meeting. Hope this is a good sign of change to come. Go Bruins!

I'm trying to be positive
But I think Jon Gold is right when he says the fundamental tackling problem is that they don’t really tackle in practice.. I’d be curious to know how many schools don’t tackle in practice. I don’t think 1 meeting is going to turn the fundamentals issue around, but I hope it serves as a gut check.
This is the third game, so tackling should be improved.
I do think a lot of tackling comes down to attitude. Is the defense the aggressor or not? Read and attack, not read and react.

The seniors stepping up, showing leadership, and calling it like it is. Go bruins!
Been There Seen That Before
Sorry, but I can’t get excited about a program that gets off to slow starts and then needs team only meetings to get on track.
Coaches should have the team ready to play by the first game of the season.
That said, if this meeting can change the pass coverage and get people to tackle, maybe we should let the seniors coach.

and decide that we won’t punt on 4th and short inside the opponent’s 40.

At the game, the players held a no players meeting. On the field.
But hey, what do I know. I’m just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.
