Brandon Willis post-practice interview
Thanks to Jon Gold for uploading this video.
Hearing Mr. Willis talk about his family situation, his decision to return to U.C.L.A., really makes me proud of what our beloved alma mater is about with regards to its student-athletes. This gentleman is well-spoken, well-mannered, and from all indications, has all the physical attributes to be a successful Division 1 Defensive Tackle.
It has been said many times here, but a welcome is never enough - welcome (back) home, Brandon.

if he is trying to get a waiver from the NCAA
then I would recommend he focus on his original family reasons for moves and the NCAA investigation of UNC. I’d recommend not mentioning “I wasn’t getting on with the defensive line coach” as his apparently more important reason to want to get out of UNC>
I think the waiver
is based entirely on the fact that he has returned to the institution he spent all of last year redshirting at, and if he’s forced to sit again he loses the year this time. Players have transferred from programs with NCAA issues before and they do not get waivers, so I don’t think his reason for leaving UNC (again), whatever they may be, will have much impact on the decision.
and of course
the fact that he was ping-ponging around the country due to family obligations, not disatisfaction with any of the football programs.
