MJD ran for a season-high 169 yards today, clinching the 2011 NFL rushing title and breaking Fred Taylor’s single-season franchise record in the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 19-13 victory against the Indianapolis Colts. Colts win the Suck for Luck derby I guess.

MJD finished the season with 1,606 yards breaking Taylor’s franchise mark of 1,572 yards set in 2003.

Congrats MJD! A glimmer of light in dark and dreary UCLA sports wold under Chianti Dan's reign of error.

GO BRUINS.

And on a team that couldn't throw the ball

Everyone knew MJD was going to get the ball, stacked the box and it still didn’t matter.

There was a point in today’s game when he picked up 11 yards for another first down that basically wrapped up the game and he was pumped up despite being on a bad team going nowhere. He found all of his offensive linemen and hugged them all, thanking them for opening up holes for him. What a class act and competitor.

Imagine if he played on a decent team with a ...

… fricking QB.

Great guy. Great Bruin. Great memories.

He's not just a runner

I have a vivid memory of seeing him plant some guy on the Chargers right on his butt as a pass blocker.

I remember that play

One of the best blocks I’ve ever seen from a running back. Coach Mora should have that as an instruction video for the team.

My alltime favorite RB!

Of course he helped me win my 1st FF championship his rookie year. I won have another FF championship this year if I could have got just one more TD from MJD, Kahil Bell, or Drew Brees to compensate for the two def zone fumbles from a TX RB in OH which kill my D.

Miss that guy.

Is it just me or are all of my favorite Bruins from the last 10 years in the pros? Except maybe Derrick Coleman, he’s a freight train with a big heart

DC is a boss

Coleman is a truck, unfortunatly he didn’t get as much playing time as Mr. Jonathon Fumble

MJD is my favorite Bruin

I am especially proud to have had him on my fantasy football team this year.

Dump Dan!

Amazing

Better NFL career than Reggie Bu$h, and in many ways, better college career than Bu$h too.

Way to go MJD!

But hey, what do I know. I’m just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.
