Around SBN: Eden Hazard In London For Medical, According To Reports

Not really sure where the UCLA angle is, but it seems like there's one somewhere (I guess this is the kind of loss that UCLA would have lately - if we ever get to #3 again). Safe to say this may be the most shocking score of the season.

Here's the angle

When UNC gets “embarrassed” it’s by a high major opponent with a winning record on their opponent’s court. When we get embarrassed, it’s to WCC and Sun Belt teams on our court.

fair enough

but still…33 points? That’s pretty inexcusable for any power conference team, let alone one ranked in the top 5

I am sorry

We are in no position to call out UNC considering our chump program is no where even close to being a top 25 program.

So UNC gets blown out on the road

And we’re supposed to read into it as fans of a team with a worse record than the team that beat UNC where we also have our own share of blowouts to mid and low majors instead. But hey, at least we lost to Cal by fewer points than UNC lost to FSU right? We’re almost there!

what?

I never said we should read into it, and I’m certainly not calling out UNC, I thought I showed that when I said how shocking the result was. That’s why I called it a “UCLA-like loss”, one that we would almost expect to have but not something you’d expect to happen to a program like UNC.

I was in no way comparing UNC to our current program. I was just mentioning that this one loss was as baffling for them as a lot of our football and basketball losses have been for our fan base. That’s the connection I saw, not that UCLA and UNC should be considered on the same level. You put those words into my mouth

I don't think he did that bb

I think it’s just doesn’t come across right when a UCLA basketball fan is looking for an angle in a disappointing UNC loss which is most likely an aberration. UNC right now is in a different stratosphere compared to UCLA basketball program.

We have become such a joke that ...

JustSC is now a “big” game for our players.

I don't understand

you were angry at Reeves last year when he said sc was “just a game” but you slam guys now for saying it’s a “big” game. Am I reading into that right?

Kinda

It’s a “big” game to them, as in, they think it will be competitive. There’s a difference between saying “it’s just a game” and saying “it’s just $C”.

But hey, what do I know. I’m just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.

Ok..

so the problem is that this game is big in the sense that it means a lot towards their season since they have such a poor record vs. a big game in the rivalry/bagging rights sense?

The UCLA angle is...

How bad would they have lost if the Wear twins and Larry Drew II were still playing for them?
