Recruiting Vs Coaching Vs Teaching
Football Scoop reprints a letter purportedly written by outgoing Texas A&M Coach Mike Sherman to Texas HS Coaches -- amazing read. And it touches on recent BN discussions on the new coaching staff. We want to see that the high-level recruits players brought in are taught the proper techniques and actually, dare II say it, IMPROVE over the course of the season.
Also mentions not throwing players under the bus. Timely.

Be harder on your star players?
Is CBH aware of this?
I have to wonder how different things would have been with Reeves, or if we would even had had the DragoDisaster if he applied some of these principles.
Winning is not a sometime thing; it's an all the time thing. You don't win once in a while; you don't do things right once in a while; you do them right all the time. Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing. ~ Vince Lombardi
Just made cpoies of it and...
will send to my Children! It never hurts to be reminded of things such as these! Many of these points transcend Football. Thank you for posting this!
