To be fair
Snaer was a kid we simply lost out on in the recruiting process. To me, it doesn’t hurt as much as a guy like Mike Moser doing well.
Agreed...
but in some ways I think it speaks to a larger issues. There are tons of kids in the greater southern California area so it’s inevitable that some get away, but when we are in a on a recruit, I don’t understand losing to Florida State. Derrick Williams and Allen Crabbe are two other examples off the top of my head that should have been Bruins and even wanted to be. Instead we were off chasing the Trey Zieglers of the world…
I had 10 minutes to watch TV
and I watched the end of that game instead of ours. I chose wisely. Well it doesn’t matter since I don’t watch any of our games anymore.
But hey, what do I know. Iām just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.
Snaer loss doesn't bother me as much
What bothers me is to see guards like Holt (St. Mary) and Dinwiddie (CU) who would have come to UCLA if not for Howland wasting time on unattainable gets (McCallum, Zeigler). Those guys would have steadied our pg situation and would have done all right.
There is also the mishandling of Moser and Stanback.
Though I acknowledge Ben's losses in recruiting
Snaer wasn’t one of them. There were academic and AAU concerns around Snaer that basically had UCLA out from the beginning. Glad he’s doing well though.
