Southern Cal: "It's Like Jersey Shore On Steroids"
LOS ANGELES (CBS) - Students from the University of Southern California - uncensored and outrageous! A new web-based reality show, produced by actor James Franco, portrays the campus as a non-stop, wild and crazy party zone.
Franco just released a preview of his new show, "Undergrads," which highlights the seemingly shallow life at the Southern California campus. The clip features a student whose "bucket list" includes holding a Twister contest on the quad and two fraternity brothers who neglect to invite girls to a party because they're too fat.
Franco said he wanted to present an honest look at college life. Some students admit that the video is accurate while others strongly disagree.
"It's a great example of the party side of USC," a male student said. When asked if USC is a party school, a female tudent said, "Oh yeah. Yes it is."
You can watch clip of the show here in a post entitled, "James Franco Clowns USC ‘Undergrads' In New Reality Show. " More on JamesFrancoTV.
James Franco is of course a Bruin. Well done James. Well done.
GO BRUINS.

As a guy who has dated a few USC girls in the Greek system.
This appears to be a fairly accurate representation.
Insanely fun experience, but made me fully realize the saying, “Can’t turn a ho into a housewife.”
Like James Franco as an actor, by the way. Doesn’t care about the Hollywood scene. Is a bit of a douche and he owns it. Mostly good movies too.

+1
I have to admit that I had some insanely great fun with $C girls during my time at UCLA as well. But I met them at clubs or parties at UCLA. I never went to an $C party. That I personally could never do.

They get wild on both campuses, I was down there a lot the last year and a half.
I’m more tolerant than a normal person, so the “being at SC” thing never bothered me. I made a lot of jokes about it. One time went out of my way to wear a UCLA hat to an SC frat party. Had no issues beyond drunk guys occasionally flashing the victory sign as I walked by.

Ahem. I believe that it's called "Overtrained Athlete Syndrome."

Oh yeah that's what it was
The “Overtrained Athlete syndrome”, what a great defense. Almost as good as OJ’s, “if the glove don’t fit then you must acquit” hold on a second, I’m blanking on where OJ played football.
True to form
You can play into the USNWR rankings all you want and do whatever shaddy crap you guys did to rise in the polls, but everyone knows what a joke school $C really is. They will never be a global university, this just confirms what everyone already knows.
Way to go fellow Bruin James Franco
Actually
I live in Europe now and I am shocked at how many young people in various countries here know about U$C and want to go to U$C. And U$C admits more international students than any other university in the country. So, not to defend U$C just the facts, but they actually are as global as any university in the country, depending on the metric you use. Now, their academics and their culture are a different story.

Im surprised by that
I did a backpacking trip in South East Asia and was blown away by the prevalence of UCLA gear kids were wearing. UCLA in terms of name recognition was up there with Harvard and Stanford. I don’t know about Europe as I haven’t been there in a few years.
I was referring more to a global institution as in a respected academic environment. Like San Francisco is a global city, for things like the arts, finance, technology and natural beauty. Not just because people around the world want to visit the city. If that were the standard than Las Vegas is a global city too. So I guess what I’m saying is that U$C is the Las Vegas of global universities, people want to go and party there, but it’s not held in the same high esteem as other American Universities (UCLA being among them)
Yes I agree
UCLA is more known and respected. And USC is more like a party school and not held in in such high esteem. But I was shocked at how many young people know of and want to attend $C. I dont get it.

Well Europeans do love to party harder than we (Americans) do, right?
Maybe they saw this web episode.
