He's not happy with Shaq Thompson
picking UW I’m guessing.

he said the biggest factor in him looking around
wasn’t coach related, it was that the class was falling apart. This only helps us

The weird thing is
I thought with Mora as coach and Demetrice Martin on the staff, that we’d have a great shot at Shaq. I’m not sure why he has such an allegiance to Tosh Lupoi, who’s a DL coach.
Cal’s recruiting class feels like a certain game against Miami in 1998…ouch…
But hey, what do I know. Iām just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.
I think it depends on how "loyal" the kid is.
When you’re 17 or 18 and are making big promises to recruiters like Tosh & other players like Shaq, you probably start thinking, “we’re in this together”. Then people start jumping ship and the confusion sets in.
But if he takes a step back & thinks of it as a business, things could and should change every day.
Anyway, I hope Cal’s class does pull a UCLA vs Miami.
So close but so far away.
Cal was down! Cal was down! Not a fumble! BS! Nooooooooo!!!!!!!
Sorry. The flashbacks are less frequent, but they never go away entirely.

Playing baseball
was reportedly part of the decision. Sark is allowing Shaq the flexibility to play baseball as well as football.
A lot of programs have coaches recruit areas instead of positions.
During my recruiting process, I got calls from Offensive Coordinators, Defensive Coordiators, 2 OL Coaches, a couple DB coaches and only one Linebacker coach despite being recruited as a Linebacker or Defensive End at all of the schools talking to me.
Granted that was at the D3/NAIA/one D2 level. But the D1 recruiting process is similar from what my more talented friends have told me.
That would explain why Shaq is close with Lupoi. He probably recruited the area.
Just the way it works.
