Euroleague brief article

here. The team owner was quoted:

"He is a good player, but he needs time to get used to European basketball and Zalgiris," club owner Vladimir Romanov said on the team’s website. "But we don’t have the time. We needed Nelson to play at the top level already now."

Sigh.

This reminds of guys like JaRon Rush and Jerome Moiso who thought they were ready much sooner than they actually were.

Well, in Reeves case, it was a kind of ego trip that drove him to act out, whereas the other guys left early. Still, our team could have benefited if they stuck around, kept their nose to the grind stone and worried less about the accolades.

Winning is not a sometime thing; it's an all the time thing. You don't win once in a while; you don't do things right once in a while; you do them right all the time. Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing. ~ Vince Lombardi

i feel sorry for the guy

He lived all his life with a sense of entitlement, only to find out that he’s lived all his life with his head up his a$$. Now what? The NBA? Whatever the NBA minor league is called? What’s he going to do when he finds out that his future is not as a basketball player, and that he has to start over living in the real world at age 21?

I really feel sorry for him. He brought 100% of it on himself, but it looks like a wasted life. Maybe he’ll get a good job driving a truck or something.

I'm with you on this one Fox

It’s the SI jinx. That cover seemed to really go to his head…

But hey, what do I know. I’m just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.

I really like the good Reeves

and I’m really sorry to see him fail.

Maybe, this will be the reality check he needs to step up and take full advantage of his talent.

I hope his life turns around and turns out well.

Oh man

I’m at a loss for words.

Not to say this was unexpected, but I am shocked that he last so little time.

Best of luck to him,

Forget the athletics -- can he come back and finish his education?

Never heard whether or not Reeves was doing well academically. He stayed eligible for two years. Doesn’t that mean he’s two years closer to a BS from a prestigious U? Now he would only have to start paying his own way. I suppose this is all wishful thinking. But like others have said, I find it very sad that this young man’s ambitions and future look so bleak.

Maybe Sarkisian

Can find a way to get him on the football team…

But hey, what do I know. I’m just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.

Hoping

for a Dennis Rodman type of turnaround for him. He’s gotta get his mind right.

But hey, what do I know. I’m just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.
