Look, I've never been a Rick Neuheisel hater; in fact, I always thought he was a good coach but just drug down by mediocre to poor assistant coaches and an incompetent administration. Until now.
Jon Gold has apparently been moonlighting over at BRO and posted this article. Gold always seemed to have a great connection with Kevin Prince so its no surprise that he got KP's parents to give a really forthcoming interview. KP's mom said the following, talking about hardships that KP has had to deal with.
"I don’t know how any young man can rise above this," Meredith Prince said. "Rise above someone who screams at you on the sidelines, who belittles you behind closed doors. He has. He says it makes him stronger. I would go to bed crying because of the crap he had to put up with. It’s not an easy subject for me.
Now we all know about the screaming on the sidelines. But I always heard the term "player's coach" associated with Neuheisel. If he was belittling the players behind closed doors, no wonder the they didn't buy in and we had discipline problems on the field.
