What did we just witness?

Or, to paraphrase The Lone Ranger's foes, "who was that masked man." I didn't recognize the team out there tonight, by uniform or by play. I am not sure if it was the uniforms, the eye black, the rocking Rose Bowl, or just , finally, the UCLA Bruin talent making it all come together, but I am cannot remember such a thorough domination in all phases of the game. Offensive execution, best tackling since . . . [when???--Darby, Norton, Jr.(cringes), Mike Lodish teams), very solid special teams.

I am literally in a state of disbelief. Is this so good or has the memorable past been so bad?? Breathe. No need to get metaphysical . . . but from an eye test standpoint (sorry I.E.) but I see mostly "A"s here (not all As) but when is the last time we could say that? I am in no mood to do a College Football Warehouse research sess(ion) right now, but I can assure you, UCLA has not won such a critical home game in such dominating fashion since the last century.

Like I said, a state of disbelief. Not that we won, but in the manner in which we did so. The second half was a footnote. Nothing more. When was the last time you can say that about UCLA in a game of this magnitude?? Need to take care of business next week and then get the Rose Bowl rockin like it's 1991-1998.
