Polls are out today and UCLA is ahead of Southern Cal for the first since 2001. AP has us at 17; Suc at 21. USA Today has us at 19 vs Suc at 22. The last time we were ranked ahead of sc was 2001. If you recall, it was Pete Carroll's first season and he wen 6-6. UCLA entered that 2001 season ranked 17th (AP); Suc was unranked. UCLA bounced around the rankings until we dropped out of the Top 25 following a 0-27 loss to the trojans. Following that loss, we've never been ranked ahead of them until today. Obviously, this post will have little meaning if we don't take care of business over the next two weeks. I firmly believe we'll need to play our best/most complete game of the season to beat Suc....but they are very much beatable. Go Bruins!
