Pop Up Ad on Cal Game Today
Did you notice the pop up ad towards the end of the game for BRO?
I imagine the powers that be at the Pac-12 exercise control over who advertises, and the content of ads, on Pac-12 basketball games.
But it sure would be nice to have an ad pop up towards the end of our next TV game saying "Save UCLA Athletics. Dan Guerrero must go."
I wonder how much a 15 second pop up ad costs, and whether we could even get in the front door. Anybody know if this could be done?
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

Wouldn't hurt to find out though.
Winning is not a sometime thing; it's an all the time thing. You don't win once in a while; you don't do things right once in a while; you do them right all the time. Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing. ~ Vince Lombardi
I noticed the BRO ad, too.
I was thinking of a BN ad instead, but a “Dump Dan” ad would be better.
I’ve spent some time in the broadcast booth of Fox baseball games, and what happens is that the stage manager just hands a five by seven card to the alleged talent who just reads it with the good, broadcast, pontificating tone. "Bruin fans, save UCLA athletics. Contribute now to the “Dump Dan” fund to buy out Chianti Dan’s contract. Any contribution, great or small, can be sent to blah, blah, blah. And coming back into the game is Josh Smith, with his three personal fouls…."
(I confess that I listen to the announcers under those circumstances, because the stuff that gets said when the microphones are dead is generally pretty interesting.)
The BRO ad made a lot of sense
BRO is part of scout.com which is affiliated with Fox Sports. So that not really an “ad” but more of a cross-promotion of related platforms within the same network. I doubt there is a specific “pop up” ad space during broadcast of games on Fox. I think it reasonable to assume those spaces are available for network related content (which is what BRO/Scout.com sites are for Fox).
We need to run a "March of Donuts" campaign . ..
where local business put out one of those little stands by the cash register urging patrons to pop quarters into the little cut-outs for a good cause.
Someone should actually call the alumni travel office ...
… ad ask them point blank if DG is still planning on going to this Chianti trip.
An overt ad would probably not be approived.
Perhaps we could be more subtle.
