and an even better sign that Yarber stayed. It won’t be the last time another conference opponent will try to poach our staff, especially Adrian Klemm…

From what I remember...
Kiffin did not even want Chow and that Garrett was the one that urged him to try and add him to his staff. Then the media completely blew it out of proportion that Chow was hired when in fact it could not have been further from the truth.
As far as Norton goes I dont think I ever read anything stating that Neu officially got word to speak with Norton. All I remember was that Norton bad mouthed UCLA in the press at the urging of Carroll…

Kiffin and Chow aren’t exactly chummy…
The Norton thing was more subtle. IIRC Neu let it be known that Norton would be welcomed back if he wanted, but the poodle was made to mouth off in the press to kill that. So there was no official talk or job offer, but the intent was there.
