Check it out. Kareem wrote, executive produced and narrated an upcoming Showtime documentary: On the Shoulders of Giants. The trailer is awesome. [Via Gold].

Wow. The trailer is awesome. I can't wait to see the documentary
Let us not forget the Kareem has a UCLA education.
I'm sorry son, but you must have me confused with someone else.
My name is Roger Murdock. I’m the co-pilot.

It's on my Netflix list!
Thank you KAJ for…well, for just being awesome at everything.
But hey, what do I know. I’m just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.
I've known about the doc, but didn't know it was already available.
coincidentally, two of my film school peeps wrote a script about the Rens. I couldn’t believe it when I read it, because I had never heard of them. I’m glad they’re finally getting the recognition they deserve.
Winning is not a sometime thing; it's an all the time thing. You don't win once in a while; you don't do things right once in a while; you do them right all the time. Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing. ~ Vince Lombardi
I remember reading, way back when,
about how Lewis/Kareem selected UCLA out of his many, many collegiate suitors.
He said that Coach John Wooden was the only one who stressed that he should not base his choice of college on that school’s basketball program. Rather, he should choose based on the quality of education that he would receive. Basketball would be fleeting. Education would be forever.
Not that other schools couldn’t deliver good educations, too, but that Coach was the only one who stressed education, first. It’s not difficult to picture other coaches salivating at the prospect of landing this talented youngster, telling him how great he would be, and so on.
Coach’s unique emphasis impressed Lewis/Kareem at the time. It shows how wise beyond his years he was then, and his work since then shows how mega-intelligent Kareem is now.
Robinson and Bunche
I graduated the same year that Lew/Kareem did and I remember him saying that the fact that Jackie Robinson and Ralphe Bunche were Bruins was also a major contributing factor to choosing UCLA.

OJ Simpson has a film coming out too!
It’s called, “I’m Still Looking for My Wife’s Killer On the Shoulders of My Cellmate.”
