Let this idiot know what you think!
You may have seen this letter in the Times last Saturday:
Regarding your columnist, Bill Dwyre, he has it backward (again). John Wooden ran perhaps the dirtiest program in college sports history, wearing blinders while UCLA booster Sam Gilbert took care of every "need" of the players. Joe Paterno ran perhaps the cleanest big-time college football program in America. That's not wiping away the horrible mistake in judgment that Paterno made. It is simply telling the truth.

Finding and publishing personal contact info is a huge No-No, PauleyDog
The guy may be an idiot, but his letter to the editor does not forfeit his privacy. As Nestor and others here have frequently noted, the best thing to do is to ignore the Fishwrap (the LA Times for the newer folks here). If you must read it, and vent somewhere afterward, do it to their editors, or better yet their business or subscriptions departments.

This idiot's myopia is shameful and an embarrassment to PSU
Almost as bad is that someone at the LAT decided that of all the letters to the editor they receive, this was one that had to be published.

I can see the fishwrap's point of view on this.
It publishes a libel, but is able to say it’s just this douchebag’s opinion, and it keeps perpetuating the myth that the ‘wrap wants perpetuated. The fact that it’s totally gutless is beside the point.
