This is a bit of old news, but seeing one of the Bruins succeed in this way is inspirational! Abdul-Jabbar has long been involved in projects focused on socio-economic justice. He has a documentary film, "On the Shoulders of Giants," that is currently showing on Showtime. He has written several books and has even spent time as a coach on the Apache Reservation. He is truly a great American and he makes me proud to be a Bruin
