Photos from UCLA WBB vs. UW
Now that was a game. Bruins rallied late to overcome an untimely second-half slump to force OT, and once it got there, it was all Bruins. Rebekah Gardner led the team with 17 points, followed closely by Markel Walker's third straight double-double (16pt, 14rb) and Thea Lemberger's 15 points. The team showed great poise and control in OT, picking up their second straight OT win. On to the pictures!

Great pix as always...and a question
Thanks b d, for the pics. Quick question for you, because I think you’re in the band. Is there a reason why the band sits closer to the Bruin sideline than the visitors? Do you have to be under the video screen for sound or video reasons?
I ask because we sat behind the UCLA sideline for this game and when the band plays during timeouts, it’s quite deafening (which is fine for just listening or singing or dancing along), and I would imagine kind of hard for Coach Close to be heard over the music. She was yelling to be heard and I’m not sure if she had to do that because of the music or that’s just the way she is. Wouldn’t it be more advantageous for the home team if the music was blaring in the visitors’ ears and forcing them to scream or not properly hear the coaches and such?
No knock on the band whatsoever, though, I know it’s a boost to have the band at the games and there’s a bond between the band and the wbb team. Go Bruins!
