Bruins and Trojans in the Super Bowl
via www.indianapolissuperbowl.com
If you're like me and you don't care about the Patriots or the Giants, how will you choose a team to cheer on Sunday? Here's one method: Award a team 3 points for each Bruin on the official roster and 1 point for each Bruin on the reserve team. Subtract 3 points for each Trojan on the official roster and 1 point for each Trojan on the reserve team.
New England Patriots
UCLA: Matt Slater (wide receiver)
UCLA: Bret Lockett (reserve defensive back)
Score: +4
New York Giants
UCLA: None
U$C*: Terrell Thomas (reserve defensive back)
Score: -1
By the way, will anyone else in our BN community be in Indy for Super Bowl weekend? Downtown has been rocking with crowds and concerts all week.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of BruinsNation's (BN) editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of BN's editors.

Awesome steak place downtown
called St. Elmo’s Steak House. Other good places around too.
But hey, what do I know. Iām just the 800 lbs bruin in the room.
Thanks for this.
I would add at least 5 points for Tom Brady using UCLA football practice field to prepare for his Super Bowl run. He should also share his Super Bowl winning with UCLA Bruins.
It makes him feel better
Since it’s only 80 yds, it looks like he can throw from goal line to goal line.
Some info
Terrell Thomas was a starter in 2010 who tore his ACL and did not play in 2011.
Matthew Slater is not a starter, and has 1 career catch for 46 yards.
Brett Locket did not play all season, or in the playoffs.
I think its safe to say that both ucla and USC players were not a factor in the Superbowl this season.
