Anyone else notice that
Berkeley’s average High School GPA is significantly lower than that of UCSD, UCD, and us?
Univ. of California – Los Angeles, 4.25
Univ. of California – San Diego, 3.98
Univ. of California – Davis, 3.9
Univ. of California – Berkeley, 3.88
Anyone want to venture to guess why that might be? I — for one — find it rather hard to believe.
And a quick side-note: I am stoked to see that tuition hasn’t risen significantly over the past few years. I remember paying roughly 10K for tuition and 13K for room and board. If it truly is only 11 grand in tuition, UCLA should be at the top of that list any day of the week.
Beautiful weather, check.
Beautiful campus, check.
Beautiful students and teachers due to the above, check.
World class academics due to the above, check.
Now if we could only have our world class athletics department back, that would be nice. One can dream, right? (Wow this turned into a rant faster than two shakes of a lamb’s tail).

We do have world class athletics in non-revenue sports.
We are well represented in the Olympics. London here we come.
Yes - teachers
Especially if you major in French!

Lol, or the Norse Studies "Department"
All of the hotties certainly weren’t populating the Polsci or History departments… nor the ghastly building they occupied. And here I thought that bunkers were supposed to be below ground.

Cal GPA
Yeah I was kinda surprised at that number too, thought it would be more comparable to ours. Every time I see admissions numbers for UCLA I remember how lucky and thankful I was for getting in, besides being some of the best years of my life I am so proud to associate myself with such a competitive school.
