It has been frustrating trying to get a read on Chancellor Block's schedule, so that we can express (respectfully) our extreme disappointment at his indifference to Dan Guerrero's performance.
We now have a sighting. UCLA Alumni Day is Saturday, May 5. We are invited, per the schedule, to "enjoy a timely and informative talk by Chancellor Gene Block." The time for him to "talk" is set for 10:30 AM.
I live in Northern California, so won't be attending. I will instead be imbibing mass quantities of tequila, which seems like a fairly rational response to the performance of our revenue sports teams in recent years.
For those in the area, this could be a good opportunity to make our opinions known. There is no indication in the schedule whether Chancellor Block will entertain questions. But we can still express our opinions- t shirts saying "Dump Dan", etc.
As has been pointed out on BN previously, there is a schedule conflict between football at the Rose Bowl and Alumni Day on campus. But for those who opt for campus, Gene Block will be in public view.
