While Dan Guerrero tries to get UCLA's students fired up with "flash mobs" - over at USC:
USC announced Monday that it has reached a multiyear deal with ESPN Radio to broadcast all of the Trojans' home games nationally.
This is only the second national radio deal in college football -- Notre Dame and IMG have a similar relationship -- and the first of its kind for ESPN Radio.
The multiyear deal also provides Spanish-language rights for ESPN Deportes Radio in the Los Angeles market.
"To partner with ESPN Radio and have the USC brand distributed at this level is a fantastic opportunity to reach Trojan fans throughout the nation," USC athletic director Pat Haden said in a prepared statement. "It is also immensely important that we will be able to reach our Hispanic fan base throughout Southern California with ESPN Deportes."
Like I said last year - bringing a knife to a gun fight.
All the hype around Jim Mora and his new coaching staff, the talk about energy and pace will not matter if the Bruins don't get the job done this year. This will mean coming up with a big 8-9 win regular season and beating the Trojans at the Rose Bowl.
Anything less will mean Bruins being stuck in neutral under a regime that seems to have no idea how to manage major revenue programs with Trojans cleaning up despite being under sanctions and being coached by Lane Kiffin. Lane Freaking Kiffin.
