We have an an excellent series of posts put up by jtthirtyfour shedding some light on Mazzone's offense. His excellent and informative series included parts on philosophy, the base zone key game, the snag/quick passing game, protecting base concepts, putting base concepts together, dropback passing and goalline/short yardage.
Chris at www.smartfootball.com put up an excellent video montage of Coach Mazzone teaching the offense today. The offense is simplistically complex, and Coach Mazzone says that he goes into a game with only 32-35 plays. While you're at it, be sure to check out Chris' piece on combining quick passes, run plays and screens in the same play, as it's a staple in Mazzone's offense. Enjoy!
