Yup. You read that right. According to an article by Associated Press appearing on Yahoo! Sports, an anonymous Stanford donor has endowed the Offensive Coordinator position in honor of the Cardinal's former QB.
The position will now officially be called the Andrew Luck Director of Offense.
Nevermind that it sounds like one of the most ridiculous titles you've ever heard. There is more news from Stanford.
Stanford has endowments for many positions in the athletic department, although most are reserved for head coaches and the athletic director.
I bet you didn't know that. Yup, for the right price, you can create the official title of Stanford's Athletic Director.
Hmmmm.....That sounds like fun. Maybe the cash-strapped University of California Los Angeles should give that a try.
I can see it now.
Dan Guerrero might want to be something like the " Castellare di Castellina Director of Athletics". but I'm thinking it should be something more like the "Hannibal Lecter Director of Athletics" or the "Charles Shaw Director of Athletics."
Fire Dan Guerrero.
