We wish we were making this up. I am sure phones are ringing off the hook for this:
Yes, that's Dan Guerrero's athletic department ladies and gentlemen.
While Larry Scott is making globally strategic moves to market UCLA's hoops brand in China - Chianti's peeps are marketing the jersey of the player - who is the poster boy of total irrelevance of UCLA basketball from last 4 years to Bruin fans. Yes, they marketing the jersey of this guy (never mind he is one of the worst scholarship players ever to put on a Bruin uniform). This is guy who not only disgraced the four letters on the court, he did it more often off the court (while being enabled by none other than Ben Howland and Chianti Dan).
It's as if this athletic program is being run by people who live somewhere else in the planet with no clue about any of the details associated with UCLA's major revenue program. All of this coming from the an athletic department led by by one of the highest paid ADs in a major BCS conference. Heckuva job Chancellor Block.
UPDATE (N): The title of this post has been updated just to refresh everyone that there is no "D" in Dragovic - something that was obvious to everyone except for Ben Howland. GO BRUINS.
