UCLA Football Players Sign Petition
The timing of this is interesting. From the LA Times blog post: "More than 70 players with the UCLA Bruins football team have signed a petition supporting a [...] measure that would require universities that don’t renew a student’s athletic scholarship to provide equivalent financial assistance so the student can stay in school and get a degree" Juxtapose this story with ESPN’s Peter Yoon’s story a few hours later: UCLA must cut seven scholarships This interests me because you can imagine State Senator Padilla or Andy Staples from SI.com finding our situation as a convenient target.
