Last month bruinclassof10 PWNed our tonedeaf chancellor for his "review of the 2011-2012 Academic year." Blockhead buried the achievements of our student athletes in the second to last graf of a long email that no one reads.
This week Souhern Cal's President C. L. Max Nikias sent an email to "USC Alumni Association" that specifically focused on athleics. Here is a copy sent to us by one of our readers:
From: "USC Alumni Association" <usc.alumni@alumnicenter.usc.edu>

Subject: Message from President Nikias - USC Athletics Overview
Reply-To: usc.alumni@alumnicenter.usc.edu
Dear Fellow Trojans,
I am very pleased to send you this overview of USC Athletics' exceptional accomplishments over the past year. We can all take pride in these wonderful successes, and I am certain you will join me in applauding USC Athletic Director Pat Haden's inspiring leadership, as well as the outstanding contributions of our remarkable coaches and athletic staff.

Thank you for your continued support of USC.

Simple and to the point making it clear how much the athletic programs means to their school and alumni.
To Gene Block throwing in a tondeaf mention of our athletic program in the second to last graf of a 20+ graf email is noting more than inconvenient. For the Chancellor of Southern Cal talking up their athletic program is a point of pride.
Should we be surprised? Probably not. But, it's just the latest example of how badly the current out of touch UCLA leadership is getting clowned by it's Trojan counterpart. Too bad doubt if Block "gets it" or even cares how under him UCLA's major athletic programs are in risk of sliding into an abyss.
