UCLA Football: San Bernardino Fall Camp Open Thread - Session 7

After a day off yesterday (which featured some great team building time at the pool) the Bruins return to the 100 yard football fields of Cal State San Bernadino today with two more practices, a bunch of players returning to the field, and a brand new starting quarterback.

The morning session begins at 8:30 am and the afternoon session starts at 5pm. The early morning and late afternoon times should avoid enough of the midday heat to allow more players to get back on the field and continue working together. In fact, Coach Mora said he expected to have most of his players who have been held out lately due to heat and injury back on Saturday. Two notables who will be missing are OL Jeff Baca and Alberto Cid who have gone back to Westwood for some concussion tests.

We'll use this thread as our open thread for both sessions. Let me say how much I have appreciated the observations from those who have been out to the practices, especially IE Angel's recent analysis. Keep it going everyone!

You can keep track of the practice times here.

If you are heading to CSUB (5500 University Parkway, San Bernardino, CA 92407), you should plan on bringing your own chairs, as there are no bleachers around the practice fields. Parking ($5 daily charge) can be secured at the parking kiosk off the Coyote Drive entrance to the university. Plenty of parking is available in lots (Lot G is closest to field) within a short walk of the practice site located on the east side of the campus.

If anyone is heading out to San Berdoo, please share your thoughts on what you have seen, whether it be a few words while you are at the field or after getting home or to the dorms later this afternoon. For the rest of us, jump in with your thoughts on UCLA football, position battles you're looking at with practice about to start, what you're hoping to see by the end of camp, etc.

Fire away.
