UCLA Football Recruiting: Welcome to Westwood, Craig Lee

UCLA picked up a huge recruit today in 4* RB Craig Lee out of Redlands Senior HS. Lee chose the instate Bruins over Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oregon, and Washington, among others. It's nice to see Coach Mora getting elite talent out of the Inland Empire.

Check out some of Lee's highlights from his junior year:

Lee really helps fill the void in the running back class that was left when Keyante Green committed. As touched on by Bellerophon when Green decommitted, Lee has been in play for the Bruins for a while. Quite frankly, Lee's skill-set looks like a perfect match for Coach Mazzone's offense and he looks like a homerun threat from the backfield.

More thoughts on the commitment after the jump.

Lee joins a fairly deep backfield at UCLA. Of course, Jonathan Franklin is graduating this year, and Malcolm Jones and Damien Thigpen will both be seniors next year. Jordon James, Steven Manfro, and Paul Perkins are all also on the roster, but securing an elite running back was a must get for UCLA this year.

Lee is the 11th commitment to this year's class. With the medical retirements of Chris Ward and Patrick Larimore, UCLA will have a couple extra scholarships to give out this year, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see the staff try to add another back such as Khalfani Muhammad or Jalen Ortiz to fit in the scat type role.
