According to an article by Pedro Moura of ESPNLosAngeles.com, "Matt Barkley Billboard [in Westwood] Disappears." Here are some of the article's highlights:
A billboard showcasing USC quarterback Matt Barkley in UCLA territory has been taken down and nobody is taking responsibility for it. The billboard, located a couple blocks south of the UCLA campus at the intersection of Westwood Boulevard and Lindbrook Drive in Westwood Village, had featured a picture of Barkley looking to the sky, taken the day he announced he was returning for his senior season last December.
Shockingly, "nobody is taking responsibility for it." You would think Mr. Donuts would have taken full credit. More after the Leap.
According to Moura's sources, including tweets by Peter Yoon, . ..
The billboard was stripped or painted over either late Monday night or early Tuesday morning and now shows nothing but a black background.
Regency, the owner of the billboard, is - hold onto your hats - owned by a pair of SUC graduates. Nonetheless . . .
None of USC's other 29 billboards have been taken down.
Kudos to those involved in the "coverup." GO BRUINS!
