Well - it's already been a pretty interesting college football Satuday. We have had an "upset" in "Happy" Valley where Ohio University went in and ran all over PSU - with a pistol offense. It was pretty amusing (and gross) to hear ESPN broadcasters falling all over themselves to glorify PSU and white wash why that program finds itself in the situation it is now. Tom Rinladi's half time "interview" of the PSU coach (OMG "how can you stay so calm?") was classic ESPN.
Meanwhile over in Lincoln Nebraska is in a battle against Southern Miss. Nevada is up 14-7 against Cal and the margin would have been bigger if not for some key mistakes. Oh and Southern Cal is busted for cheating ... again.
The key games left on our docket:
- Michigan vs. Alabama in Dallas (5 p.m. PST, ABC).
- Auburn vs. Clemson in Atlanta (4 p.m., ESPN)
- Hawai'i at Southern Cal (4:30 p.m., FOX).
- San Diego State at Washington (7:30 p.m., Pac-12 Network).
More info on these games on the SBN mothership here. Couple of extra treats after the jump.
Brett Hundley's first play - for those who cannot get enough of it:
So so so good.
And as 4everBruin noted Devin Lucien will be available for our next game. It appears that the zebras screwed up at the end of the Rice game. All good news there. Let's enjoy our second open thread ... as some wise guy once said ... every day (should be this kind) of Saturday.
