Jamaal Wilkes to Have Lakers Number Retired

Following the announcement of Kareem's statue outside Staples Center (unveiling is set for November 16th), the Lakers announced that another Bruin/Laker legend will receive honors from the team this year. Jamaal Wilkes' #52 will be retired on December 28th. Also joining Wilkes in the Staples Center rafters this season: Shaquille O'Neal on April 2nd.
