Being a Bruin in Wildcat Country: A cry for a respectable basketball season

It's been widely accepted that UCLA and Kentucky are far and above the best college basketball programs. This clash never hit home for me until I moved to Lexington 5 years ago. I go to a high school that is 10 minutes from Rupp Arena, but 2600 miles away from Pauley. I get treated like an alien for the entire 5 month college basketball season. However, since UCLA is 4-1 in football and UK is 1-4, I've been getting some relieve. Still, I beg of you Bruin Nation, please pray that Shabazz is ruled eligible, Howland stops running his stupid press break that doesn't take easy layups, and we actually make it deep into the NCAA Tournament. I don't want to see another UK National Title. That would be mortifying.
