Men's Volleyball Team Comes From Behind (Again) To Beat Penn State

The men's volleyball team is in Honolulu this week for the Outrigger Invitational. In our opening match of the tournament, we fought off a tough Penn State squad (#7 nationally) to win in five sets 9-25, 25-18, 18-25, 25-21 and 15-10. This continues a streak of five 5-set matches to start the season. The #5 Bruins are 4-1 in those matches.

Junior Robart Page, RS junior Dane Worley, and RS sophomore Kene Izuchukwu paced the Bruins with 17, 13 and 13 kills, respectively. Freshman Steve O'Dell contributed 45 assists and RS junior Evan Mottram had 15 digs.

The Bruins next play #10 Ohio State (Friday, 6 PM PST).
