... would Colin Kaepernick leading the offense we saw out there tonight or would we have seen Travis Wear Alex Smith leading an "efficient" but a conservative offense with not much upside?

There are good coaches and there are great leaders. Tonight was one more data point on why Jim Harbaugh is one of the best coaches we have seen in major American sports in a long time. Great leaders recognize potential and take their chances in coaching them up. Harbaugh has taken some heat for his decision to go with Kaepernick but he never wavered and his team responded.

I know we are talking about different sports. But the way Harbaugh leads the Niners and the way Howland has mismanaged the UCLA basketball program (despite having a classic "fools gold" run in recent weeks) couldn't be more striking.

Consider this a quick open thread for a glorious Saturday Night.
