Recapping UCLA's Recruiting Weekend

This weekend was vital for UCLA's recruiting class, with the additions of four star defensive backs Johnny Johnson and Tyler Foreman. Both were on my list of the top 5 targets to most likely commit to the Bruins. Here is some background info on both players and why they chose to go to UCLA.

1. Johnny Johnson

Johnson committed to the Bruins late Saturday night. Many believed he was leaning towards the Washington Huskies, but after announcing his decision, he explained that he chose the Bruins because they seemed that they were the school that wanted him most. A big addition, he could fill graduating cornerback Aaron Hester's slot in the depth chart, and I would not be surprised if he had more than five interceptions this year. Welcome to Westwood, Johnny.

2. Tyler Foreman

I do not live far from his high school (Crespi Carmelite, Encino, CA) and I have seen this guy play: an absolute beast. I am glad he decided to decommit from Wisconsin to go to the Bruins. Again, the Bruins have addressed their secondary issues with the graduations of Andrew Abbott, Sheldon Price, and Aaron Hester. I do not think he will be a starter his Freshman year, but I believe he will influence the defense immensely over his four years with the Bruins.

In short, the Bruins did a excellent job recruiting this weekend and addressed most of their problems in the secondary. Now let's get Willis and Goodman!
