'SC Getting Sued by Former Player, About to Get Torn up by ABC Over Painkillers

Kiffin wants to get "educated" on painkillers. - Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Bumped from fanposts. Southern Cal is getting sued by former player over painkiller shots. The football program is now under scrutiny of ABC's Nightline report. - BN Eds.

It is one thing for the LA Times or some regional outlet to make claims and investigate, but when a nationally respected show like Nightline on ABC does an investigative report and sends out their top dogs to hound doctors who administered pain medication to football players without disclosing the side effects to them..........well, it might very well get ugly at Southern Cal.

I was just watching ESPN and they showed scenes of the Nightline investigative report, and the reporter (forget his name but he is a pitbull) and he is not holding back whatsoever. Here is the link to ABC story with video.

I am not sure when this is going to air, or if it has already. I would like to say this surprises me, but nothing really does when it comes to the University of South Central. When it comes to football, they will do anything, I REPEAT, ANYTHING to get a competitive advantage, including (APPARENTLY) shooting up their 18-22 year old athletes with pain medication so that they will be ready on gamedays.

Who cares about their health, as long as they are able to make tackles on Saturday right? Why would a parent send their kids to play at this place? Somebody needs to fry over this one, if it is indeed true.
