After 21 games at the helm, and two hugely successful recruiting classes, there is IMO only a single thing that Mora has done any differently than his two predecessors.
He's 0-4 against Stanford and Oregon, so that hasnt changed.
He's 3-4 against ranked opponents (excluding $UC, which was ranked when we beat them), and hasn't won, or even come close to winning, a single "big game"; even Nebraska has sucked the two times we beat them.
He beat a bad $UC team . . . but even Dorrell had 13-9 (against a very good $UC team). Plus, I argue that (1) had Barkley not been obliterated by Barr, or (2) the "leading with the helmet" rule were in place, we might have lost that game.
He was blown out in his only bowl appearance, albeit by a good Baylor team ranked $5 this year, but we were done by the end of the first quarter.
I propose that there is only one difference between Mora, Neuheisel and Dorrell: Adrian "8-clap" Klemm.
Mora doesnt have "the cupboard is bare" excuses of his predecessors, because this team is loaded with talent largely due to Klemm, and its because of that that Jimbo tends to blow out the lesser opponents, and squeak by the medicore opponents (see last year's games against Nebraska, ASU and $UC).
Without Klemm, Mora is a 7-6 coach at best. Now, if Klemm could just recruit a decent OC . . .
