Here's the header to an email that you would never receive at a school with any pride or common sense: "Bruins Need You At The Rose Bowl." WTF?!? First, this is being sent to a season ticket holder. This isn't basketball where there are a lot of people simply not showing up (Sacramento St. --- it took every ounce of energy to make the 10 minute drive for that game). Attendance has been up, even on Friday night. And, as a season ticket holder, I think I know what's at stake this Saturday. So, first, you're addressing this to the wrong crowd. Second, if you were looking to bring in the casual fan, there are about 1000 different ways to sell this game. It's basically a playoff game as it will play a large part in who goes to the PAC 12 Championship game.
Really, what the hell is going on in our Athletic Department? I know, it starts at the top, and we've discussed that a thousand times. From now on, act like we've been there before. Act like we're a school with a proud sports history. Act like this is not an anomaly. This isn't Montana St. (no offense, Montana St.). We're UCLA, damn it!
