End of overtime 1

UCLA 9-8 (1st lead since 1-0)

Tie 9-9

UCLA 10-9 (at the buzzer)

UCLA had 3 players with 2 goals each, and 7 players who scored. Redshirt freshman goalie Garrett Danner made 13 saves. Freshman Ryder Roberts' only goal was the buzzer-beater- fantastic timing. Of the 10 goals, 3 were scored by seniors, 2 by juniors, 3 by sophomores, and 2 by freshmen.

The future looks bright, but the present looks even brighter.

UCLA winds up 7-1 in conference play, and can finish no worse than tied for 1st. And UCLA will be either the 1 or 2 seed in next weekend's MPSF tourney.

The MPSF tourney is all important, due to the limited number of teams who make the NCAA tourney in men's water polo. So a 1/2 seed is super. And, unlike the NCAA, MPSF seedings are actually logical, so the Bruins will be appropriately rewarded for their regular season success.

Great win. Go Bruins !!
