UCLA Wins SAC Tournament; USC Finishes Last

The UCLA men's volleyball team won the 2013 edition of the annual SAC fall tournament, defeating USC 3-0 on Friday before beating CS Northridge (3-2) and UCSB (3-1) on Saturday. While the Bruins led all teams with a perfect 3-0 record, the Trojans earned their last place finish by losing all of their matches. Set scores for the Bruins' matches are as follows:

  • UCLA def. USC 25-15, 25-18, 25-18
  • UCLA def. CSUN 23-25, 22-25, 25-19, 25-20, 21-19
  • UCLA def. UCSB 25-22, 21-25, 25-23, 25-17

The Bruins finish the fall season with a record of 7-1. Coach Speraw's squad will return to action on December 31 with an exhibition match at Pauley Pavilion against the University of British Columbia (Okanagan).
