Thanksgiving day is almost over. I am stuffed and I am hard time falling asleep. So I was looking through some old clips of some of our most memorable games against the Trojans over the years. Thought it'd be a good idea to share them here again.
We have gone over some of our favorite moments from UCLA athletics in the past - check out this old post from tasser10 here. We have shared stories with each other on why we all bleed blue and goldand what those four letters mean to us. We have had a massive discussion on things we, as Bruins, hold dear to our hearts. There have been multiple threads on our favorite Bruins of all time, who played huge roles in this game.
Of course those threads need to be updated a bit with the Barr moment from last year. But hey that's not the only video that maybe replaying over and over before kickoff on Saturday. Here are few others, starting with 13-9. The video is worth watching over and over again just to take in Cheatey Petey's facial expressions on the sidelines and Bruce Davis's special message for tWWL pundits at the end of the clip:
So so good. Yes, we have posted that numerous times before but it gets better every time I watch it. If you want the extended mix you can go with this:
I wish we had the clips from the amazing OT game from 1996. It used to be on YouTube but it has been taken out. But what I found was this video of our band going nuts when the Bruins secured the win (finishing off an amazing fourth-quarter comeback) in double OT (read tasser10's post again for the run-down):
Interestingly there are no videos of Marvin Goodwin's interception to clinch a Rose Bowl berth at the Coliseum (1993), Cade's freshman season victory at that dump in 1995
1994, and Cade's senior season's fairly comfortable win in 1997, which was our last victory at that cr*phole. Hmm. I wonder why.
Anyway, so I will just leave you with this:
I am sure you can watch that again, again, again, again, again, again, again, and again. Easily, my best memory from the Rose Bowl student section in those four-five magical years in Westwood. I love UCLA.
If you want to share your favorite moments from this game - this would be the comment thread.
