ICAC: UCLA Basketball Competing in 2014's "Battle 4 Atlantis"

Richard Mackson-USA TODAY Sports

This news came out last week but I guess no one was interested in sharing it. Well given how TARA's team got exposed on national TV this AM, I don't blame folks for being totally disinterested in Chianti's boring and poorly coached basketball program.

Still for the dozens (or maybe few hundreds who still show up at OPUG) who still care about UCLA basketball dying a slow death under TARA here is a scheduling note for next season:

UCLA will compete in a talented eight-team field in the 2014 Battle 4 Atlantis, played from Nov. 26-28, 2014, at Atlantis Resorts on Paradise Island in Nassau, Bahamas.

The Bruins will play in a field that also features Butler, Florida, Georgetown, Oklahoma, North Carolina, UAB, Wisconsin. The 12-game, three-day tournament includes a collection of programs that feature a combined 195 NCAA Tournament appearances, 53 NCAA Final Four appearances and 20 NCAA Championships.

Oh, yeah, we are going to hold our breath over this in TARA's second season because we are so enjoying going through this one.

GO BRUINS.
