Bruins close their home season opening series by taking on the Minnesota Golden Gophers in the rubber match at JRS this afternoon.

UCLA rebounded from a tough extra-innings loss in the season opener by destroying Minnesota in the middle game yesterday. The two teams get back at it in the rubber match this afternoon at the JRS. The first pitch is schedule for 1 pm PST.

Sophomore Grant Watson will be on the mound for the Bruins this afternoon. As Ryan mentioned in his series preview the southpaw was 9-2 with a 4.45 ERA last year which included a better record as a starter (8-1 with a 3.7^ERA and 6-0 with a 2.67 ERA in midweek starts). Minnesota will turn to a left-handed sophomore Jordan Jess [2-2, 4.01]

If you are around LA - hope you get a chance to head out the game. If you are hanging around online you can follow the game via the official site's gametracker. You can also listen in with John Ramey and Tim Wilhelm, who will have the call online. You can also get all the game updates, notes, observations and all the other goodies from Ryan's UCLA baseball twitter. This is your open thread as the Bruins continue what will hopefully be their third run to Omaha in four years so have at it.

GO BRUINS.
