I'm sitting here watching the oscars with my wife, and an announcer comes on a few minutes before Adele sings. He talks about the Oscars, how they are about the present, preserve the past, and introduce the future. Apparently, they had some contest where film students submitted video about their role in the future of film making. The winners helped pass out Oscars. at this point he reads out their names, and they walk out. The second to be announced was a Kenyan attending UCLA, at which point the announcer says "Go Bruins"!

How cool is that?
