UCLA NSD Event Videos, Part 2

Stephen Dunn

Bumped from fanposts. Many thanks to JoeBruin15 for sharing these with rest of us Enjoy. GO BRUINS. - BN Eds.

The remaining videos I have finally finshed uploading to YouTube. So, now I can share them with everyone!

First up, we have a 2012 highlight video that was played on the Pauley scoreboard. And while the crowd would have been more than satisfied with the Anthony Barr sack, this highlight video squeezed in shots from the entire season.

Next up, we have Coach Mora addressing the crowd. I'm going to save my thoughts on this one until after the video to avoid spoilers.

My friends, the quote to take away from this video is simple:

"There is not one person over there or sitting up here that is going to rest until UCLA sits at the very top of recruiting and with a friggin' National Championship celebration in Pauley Pavilion."

Now, stop and read that quote one more time for emphasis. Why? Because this is what it is all about. This is the type of focus we should have. That is the reason I always hated reading quotes from Terry Donahue in the first edition of the Daily Bruin each year when he would say things like, "Hopefully, we can play well enough to get to go to the Rose Bowl." When you only aspire to make it to the Rose Bowl and you falter you play in bowls like the Sun Bowl or the Las Vegas Bowl.

When you aspire to be National Champions, you still have the Rose Bowl to fall back on if something doesn't go your way. It is the essence of the Lombardi quote that is in my signature:

"Perfection is not attainable. But, if we chase perfection, we can attain excellence." - Vince Lombardi

And, that is why so many of us here cannot stand an Athletic Department that appears to be satisfied with "Good enough". But I digress....back to the videos.

Here's one of Coaches Mora and Mazzone which includes Mazzone talking about Inspector Gadget:

I have to think that he's talking about using more trick plays this coming season.

And, now, Coach Yarber in two parts. Sorry for the lack of focus at some points. He was working the whole room and it made it hard to keep focus at times.

Next up was Coach Broussard telling everyone there were no RB recruits followed by Coach Klemm who received a standing ovation from the crowd.

Unfortunately, that wraps up my video coverage of the Signing Day event because I ran out of room on my memory card because most videos were shot in 1080p and were large files.

So someone else will have to post the Defensive coaches.

Oh wait, I just remembered...I have Coach Meat on my phone. But I definitely do not have any of the other Defensive coaches. So, hopefully, someone does.
